The capital city of Greece, Athens is located in the southern part of Greece. In the period leading up to the 2004 Olympics that were held in Greece, Athens was a top employer of migrants working in construction and hospitality services related to the Olympics. Presently, most South Asian migrants who first arrive in Athens often move on to other towns or rural regions for work. The informal and service sector provides employment to all three nationals who are undocumented. The industrial sectors surrounding Athens such as in Piraeus and Aspropyrgos have Pakistani and Bangladeshi regularized migrants working there.
